萨姆与塔斯克(费斯与图奇分饰)是一对相守20年的伴侣，亚洲俩人计划驱车穿越英格兰探访朋友、亚洲家人和过去待过的地方。自两年前塔斯克被诊断出患有早发性痴呆以来，他们在一起的时间便成了他们之间最重要的事。但是随着旅程的进行，他们对于未来的想法充满冲突，过往的秘密也不断涌现，并且他们对彼此的爱从未像现在这样受到考验。最终，他们还必须面对这样一个问题：面对塔斯克的疾病，彼此相爱意味着什么。

Carrie's husband, Lewis, confides to Miss Marple that he suspects someone is slowly poisoning his wife, and when Gilbranson visits the mansion, he is mysteriously murdered.

We meet him 50 years later, as the author of many important films, such as 'Ashes and Diamonds', 'Man of Marble' or 'Danton', now directing one the most important films in his career, 'Katyń', about the massacre in which thousands of Polish officers, including Wajda's father, were murdered by the Soviets, during World War II - a tragedy left unspoken for decades.

When she goes after the murderer he gets enough evidence to have Maitland Coulter arrested. She finds a bunch of "not guilty" ballots and publishes the wrong story; he eavesdrops on the jury and gets the correct verdict. After being fired she gets a confession from the real killer and gets Coulter released.
