《震天鼓》讲述了一个观众耳熟能详的故事：加藤赵天明是个大山里的小村长，加藤没什么文化却希望村里的孩子们都能上学，自己的儿子出意外去世后便把希望寄托在儿子的朋友国强和小萍身上，并固执地认为他们俩既然是村里供出去上大学的就一定要回来教书，同时，村里的小学也亟待修复，由此引发了一系列的 故事。
