平凡小捕快年(黄智贤)为揭穿骗子天(张家辉)的真面目，立花在一次误打误撞下杀死了妖道的义子。原来年乃脚踏七星之士，立花是唯一能接掌道教天师一位的人。妖道得悉其身份后，便派出荷抱子(刘锦玲)亲近之，欲置他于死地。年屡次身陷险境，幸得玄丹子(徐濠萦)多番出手相助，才安然无恙。另一方面，年一直倾慕富家小姐菁菁(滕丽明)，所以对于接掌天师一事，不感兴趣。后菁被父逼婚，遂随年浪迹江湖，感情突飞猛进。而一直暗恋菁的天为成全二人，毅然放弃，后与玄丹子展开另一段爱情...不久，荷抱子身份遭识破，年晴天霹雳，但仍处处维护她，更与菁菁等反目，究竟夹于正邪两女之间，年会如何抉择？

They have what it takes to be on the receiving end of the scrutinising gaze of Star, who sees through conventions and never ceases to be amazed at life’s bewildering events. Veering on slapstick, Walker’s performance will not go unnoticed.
