郑明宝（郑丹瑞 饰）是香港某电台播报猪肉价格的DJ，精品他的朋友陈七本想托他走私药品，精品没想到郑明宝把事情搞砸，害得他锒铛入狱。郑明宝无意中得到了一把雨伞，并由此结识了冥间女鬼方茵（陶君薇 饰），为此，郑明宝专门做了一档晚间鬼故事的节目，由方茵现身说法，收听率居高不下，连当红DJ蕾莎（顾美华 饰）也对他另眼相看，暗送秋波。节目中，方茵讲述了自己的一段被负心汉欺骗、惨遭情敌迫害致死的过程。原来，她本是从南洋来香港接管广昌隆饭店的女继承人，偶然见邂逅了警察马光燊（吴大维 饰），并堕入爱河。但是，马光燊其实是个花花公子，几次三番伤害了方茵纯洁的感情。特别是当他的情妇（青山知可子 饰）登堂入室后，更是把伤心欲绝的方茵逼上了绝路……
