《班亚和蕾雨》是一部在泰国东北部拍摄的乡村儿童片，出租全片演员均为当地村民，出租对白采用东北部方言。班亚是一个住在泰国东北部农村里的孩子，他很会唱歌，于是和他的小伙伴们建立了一个乡村歌曲小乐团，并希望能在府里举办的演唱比赛中拔得头筹。蕾雨是一个胖胖的乡下姑娘，也是班亚的同学。她性格强悍，敢说敢做，是学校里的风云人物，也是男孩们眼中的男人婆，更是老师家长眼中令人头痛的问题女孩。她嘴里不说，心里却悄悄喜欢班亚。有一天，学校迎来了从曼谷远道而来的朋友们。这些白白美美干干净净的城里孩子，尤其是其中最漂亮的女孩，让从小生活在农村的班亚看得目瞪口呆。蕾雨醋意大发，把气撒在班亚身上，而她自己却渐渐感受到了前所未有的迷惘……
