这是一部描写新一代警官成长的过程的剧集。演员方面是演技派和新秀共冶一炉，欧美计有刘德华、欧美陈敏儿、李国麒、梁朝伟、陈安莹、叶德娴、刘兆铭、秦沛、陈有后等。故事内容主干是描述江大伟(刘德华)是一个充满理想的大学生投身警界，人考入帮办学堂受训，进而如何出身警官，而围绕在他身边却是各式各样的警务人员，他们的性格和背景均不同，于是做人方式便有所分别，其中虽然有害群之马，但也有尽忠职守的。鉴于毒枭的方式无天，江大伟接受上司的密令，布局遭人陷害革职，成为卧底神探，为贩毒头子(刘兆铭)的得力助手工作 ，虚与委蛇，实行搜集贩毒头子的犯罪证据。做了卧底的江大伟，表面上性情大变，得父亲戚干(刘江)和女友嘉琦(陈敏儿)的谅解，有冤无路诉，充分的描述了当警务人中的痛苦，他几以辛苦，搜集了许多罪证，终于成功。

Missing from her personal effects is her jewelry, including the Wolvercote Tongue which she was going to donate to the Ashmolean Museum. The pathologist determines that she died of natural causes, but Morse feels there's something not quite right. The mystery deepens when Theodore Kemp, the Ashmolean's expert on the Wolvercote Tongue, is found dead and Mrs. Poindexter's husband goes missing.

回复 :Rachel James is shot through her kitchen window while having breakfast early one morning. She was having an affair with Dr. Julian Storrs, an Oxford professor who is a candidate for Master of Lonsdale College. When her next door neighbor is also killed however, Morse determines that the shooting of James may have been in error. Morse also suspects that he may have been a blackmailer. Both Storrs an his rival for the Masters position, Denis Cornford had secrets that would make them suspects. Morse determines that several others also had things to hide and any one of them could have committed the murders.
